Google Glass Explorer is no more, but the investigation will continue

Google Glass was a kind of portable technology with a screen mounted on the optical head (OHMD). It was developed by Google, with the mission of producing a ubiquitous computer mass market. Google Glass displays information in a format similar to a  hands-free smartphone. The carriers communicate with the Internet through voice commands in natural language. Google began selling a prototype of Google Glass qualified "Glass Explorers" in the US the April 15, 2013, for a limited period by $ 1,500, before they became available to the public on May 15, 2014, for the same price.

On January 15th 2015, Google stopped the manufacture of crystal Google and end its Explorer program- the BBC reported. The search giant, however, intends to continue research and development of products, the founder, Tony Fadell Nest finally lead.

According to information gathered by the BBC, Google still intends to launch smartglasses to the masses, but that historical moment seems to have just moved significantly more in the future with news of the closure. Since 2013, developers have been able to buy a pair of wearables for $ 1,500 (£ 990), but it all ended soon. Google apparently will ensure that the money already spent was not done in vain, saying that they provide support to companies that use glass.
